Biomass Key Points
Biomass is energy derived from the sun because plants absorb energy from the sun through photosynthesis. Biomass energy is the term used for organic matter that is burned.
Biomass is created from the remains of plants and animals that use to live on this earth or for a lack of better term ancient.
Biomass works in the sense that when a plant is broken down it releases energy that creates heat sense it can be heated than made into different forms of energy like things we need daily like biofuel.
Small-scale biomass electric plants have installed costs of $3,000 to $4,000 per kW, and a leveled cost of energy of $0.8 to $0.15 per kilowatt hour (kWh) the following is an example of a plant that is not huge in size but as you can see costs quite a fair amount of money.
Benefits of creating biomass is they can be removed and still keep a very healthy natural native habitat also it helps that leftover materials like lumber is used in a better department than letting it go to waste and just sitting there. Also, it is seen that only a small fraction of stuff is left to use since the creation of biomass which shows good signs.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages to biomass such as the fact it costs a lot of money compared to other fuels when it is converted to like alcohol. It can also mess up land and make it hard fir native animals to live there and make land bad for growing crops.
Biomass is a renewable resource which means it can be made again and again. Biomass has been used for as long as we know believe it or not. Finally, it can contribute to carbon dioxide reduction.
